A humane mouse trap is judged on one thing: how fast it ends. Glue traps hold a small mouse alive for hours. Poison delivers a slow death somewhere inside your walls, then leaves the carcass to deal with. A properly engineered snap trap closes the case in an instant, which is why fast-kill trapping remains the humane standard working exterminators actually use. The twins cover the full reasoning in their guide to humane rat trapping.
The Ultimate Rat & Mice Catch Traps are that standard built into rodent control hardware. After filming thousands of hours of house mice and rats stealing bait from inside of the trap, flipping traps, and walking away from sprung mechanisms, Jim and Dave engineered a mousetrap system with a baseplate, hoodie, and bait tuggers that guide the rodent into a clean, headfirst catch every time. One reusable design handles both rats and mice, along wall lines indoors or wherever indoor mouse traps belong in your setup.
Where does catch and release fit in mouse control? A live mouse trap has its place for a single curious visitor, and a multi-catch humane mouse trap extends the same approach when a few mice are active at once. Whatever the style, check the trap door within 1 to 2 days at the absolute most, and ideally every morning, since a captured mouse dehydrates quickly, then release the mice you catch 3 to 5 miles away from your home or they will beat you back to the door. For an active infestation, pests breed far faster than live catch can keep up with, and a humane trap that ends it instantly, set in numbers to match the infestation, is the most sustainable solution. Whichever route fits your situation, be sure to check the trap regularly and monitor mouse activity early, because trapping before an infestation breaks out is the easiest version of this job.
How to Use
How to Use
1. Assemble the rodent trap following the included instructions. We recommend wearing gloves to minimize human scent on the trap.
2. Add bait: a small amount of bait like peanut butter on the designated bait area works best.
3. Place the trap along wall lines and runways where you have seen mouse activity, droppings, or gnaw marks, positioned out of reach of children or pets.
4. Check the trap within 1 to 2 days, or review the footage if you have a camera mounted.
